You know, as I was reading this, the one thing that popped into my head was 'mini-fridge'. With all the kids going back to school, these things are on sale all over the place. It might be nice to have a small one in the house just for beer/milk/etc. Just a thought.

I have frequently thought that a coffee maker in the master bedroom would make morning SO much easier.

My wife and I remodeled our kitchen, dining room and living room all at once a few years ago (where were our heads at the time). We had a mini-fridge, micro and coffee maker in our bedroom, plus all of our downstairs furniture was moved upstairs. It was kind of fun camping out that way for several weeks. Our kids are grown though, so I don't envy you on that! Our remodelers sealed the remodel area with plastic to keep as much dust out of the rest of the house as possible. Once it's done though, as you say, you forget about the inconveniences. Enjoy your new kitchen!
