Becoming a Grandma! That is the best thing ever!
Posted by Maribeth at September 4, 2012 8:55 AMI don't have kids, and I barely use my community pool (not once last year, twice this year), but the opening and closing of it mark my summer also.
I get very sad when I realize it will not be available anymore until next year.
I feel like the pool measure of "summer" is very short... especially when we are still seeing temperatures in the high 80s/90s!
Posted by Lisa at September 4, 2012 11:32 AMi always love hearing about east coast "pool culture". it's not like that here in portland! sounds so fun. happy first day, mia!
Posted by kati at September 4, 2012 2:45 PMI can't believe summer is already over! I started a new job in May, so the past few months really have flown by. I think my favorite part of summer is going to be my vacation in a couple of weeks. Yes, summer is technically over, and it's more of a staycation than a real vacation, but I'm excited for it!
Good luck to Mia on her first day of 2nd grade!
